Here’s Why and How to Establish a Monster Work Ethic

Whatever goals you set for yourself in life, there is only one way possible to reach these goals and make your dreams a reality.

And that is by putting in hard work and taking the necessary steps to where you want to in life.

This simple principle applies not only to working out and getting in a better shape but also for your work life and private life. As long as there is a goal set to reach, you have to work for it.

Sorry, but there is no way around it.

Some might say to Fake It Till You Make It, but that is the kind of philosophy that we do to support. At the end of the day, you don’t want to lie to yourself and actually enjoy that you can make it by doing what needs to be done.

The truth is, hard work attitude and discipline is something not all of us have in our genes.

But you can learn to put in the work to the level, where it starts to come naturally to you. Which means you’ll be able to achieve even the most insane fitness goals!

By taking certain steps and following some simple rules, you too can establish a monster work ethic.

Hard Work and Discipline

The first thing you always need to keep in mind is that great results do not come easy nor fast. So you have to learn to be patient.

This asks for doing hard work and being disciplined. Both of which are based on your daily habits.

And your habits are exactly what you need to develop, in order to achieve your goals.

Building habits, basically, is like getting used to certain things, which then become a part of your mindset. It’s exactly the same as getting stronger physically.

Understand your measures

Understand what are the things that disturb you and when you start lacking motivation after taking on a task. Be true to yourself and write down what you can take away from tracking your work.

Now you know, where you are and what you actually have to improve.

Push yourself to the fullest for a day

Pick one day or some specific tasks and push yourself to the fullest. Get rid of all possible distractions and take yourself thru the whole thing until its done. Keep in mind, you can take an easier day after that.

This will now only improve your focus if done regularly. but also works great to actually see the difference that hard work makes.

Put your results next to where you started from. This might actually surprise you, seeing how much more can be done, if you keep on going without stopping and procrastinating.

A little more each day

Just so you wouldn’t burn yourself out completely, between the intense days, start doing just a little bit more every day. Even it’s 10% more work than usual. Then move on to doing 20% more than usual and keep on going like this for at least 30 days.

Most habits on average take about 30 days to develop. After that, it becomes a part of your mindset and comes naturally.

Focus on what matters and how it needs to be done

Some people tend to confuse being effective and working long hours.

Whatever work you are doing, it is most important that you focus on what matters and make the most out of it.

Which means you have to combine two ways of thinking about any task you can imagine! You have to do it now and you have to it right.

All together this will allow you to form the habit of working hard and being disciplined. And to make it easier for you, try writing down your progress. Seeing that you are really moving forward and changing something in your everyday life, will give you more motivation to continue.

Motivation

Motivation is one of those words that gets thrown around a lot among fitness enthusiasts. The same goes for people who are working to achieve great things in other parts of their lives.

Motivation is the key!

And there is a good reason for that because motivation is ultimately what gets you going. There is no reason to talk about working hard, forming habits, staying focused and disciplined, if you are not motivated to do something.

I would usually say that motivation is simply a mindset you just have to have. No way around it!

A simple understanding that if you want to have something, you have to go and get it.

Ways to motivate yourself

But still, there are some specific things you can do, to gain more motivation and keep in up throughout the fitness journey you are on.

  • Just put on your workout clothes.
  • Don’t feel good in your old workout clothes? Get new ones!
  • Don’t be shy to share what you have achieved with other.
  • Create a fitness log.
  • Look back to where you were at the begging and why you started.
  • Give a try to group workouts.
  • Surround yourself with things that motivate you. Reminders of some kind!
  • Divide bigger challenges in several smaller ones.
  • Surround yourself with people who are there for you.
  • While working out, listen to music that takes you away.
  • Find competition.

Go get it

At the end of the day, it’s all in your head. Which means you can ignore it or change it!

There are no limits to what you can achieve if you actually want it and if you are ready to put in the necessary work.

Keep in mind everything that could help you change the way you think and try out different techniques, to form habits, that allows you to crush your goals. In the end, this should help you build a great work ethic that is going to help you in different aspects of your life.
