- Avoid if

Run the access, seat and console rehearsal
1. Map the freight path
Write down the narrowest clear door opening, elevator interior, stair width and tightest 90-degree turn. Make a floor rectangle from the larger of the assembled or carton dimensions. Move that rectangle through the route without bending it. Ask whether curbside means the pallet stops at the street, driveway or building entrance.
Pass: the measured route clears the stated carton or the seller confirms unpacking before the pinch point in writing.
2. Record one repeatable seat setting
On the exact model, latch the rail and backrest at a numbered or countable setting. With the pedals stopped and the seller supervising, secure the shoe straps, check that knees and hands clear fixed parts, and confirm the user can reach the stop and resistance controls without changing the seat. Repeat the exit with the pedal crank in its least convenient position.
Record: rail mark, back angle, seat tilt, pedal-strap hole and minimum open gap passed.
3. Time a console task
From the seated position under lighting like the destination room, start a manual session, raise resistance by three levels, identify time and resistance, then stop. Use a phone timer and note errors. Repeat with any helper who will operate the bike. A 60-second clean run is a useful buying threshold, not a product performance claim.
Record: seconds, wrong presses, smallest readable field and whether the direct controls remain visible.
4. Price the failed purchase
Add nonrefundable delivery, assembly, return freight, restocking or diminished-value exposure, packaging materials and in-home removal. Keep the pallet and inserts until the written inspection window closes. A return window is not permission to ride an assembled machine.

Decode the room, controls and freight terms
Open or step-through frame
An opening between seat and front housing. It describes geometry, not a measured step height. Action: ask for the lowest obstruction dimension and try the crank in several positions.
Fore-aft seat adjustment
The seat moves toward or away from the pedals. Action: record a countable setting; a stated number of positions does not reveal their spacing.
Backrest recline
The seat back changes angle independently. Action: record it separately from the whole seat rail.
Console sightline
The view from the actual latched seat setting. Action: test under destination-like light; screen size does not establish readable digits or glare.
Direct resistance controls
Buttons or a dial that change load without menu navigation. Action: test them from the chosen seat; “quick” is not a measured reach.
Assembled footprint
The published complete-machine length, width and height. Action: add pedal sweep, hand space, ventilation and manual clearance.
Carton path
The route taken before assembly. Action: rehearse turns, landings and lift doors; a narrow carton can still fail.
Curbside delivery
Freight that may stop outside the home. Action: define the handoff; it does not promise stairs, room placement, unpacking or assembly.
Room-of-choice delivery

Germany
Fitshop publishes a 14-day distance-sale withdrawal process for BC70, BC50 and RB9.9. Its checked instructions put coordinated return cost on the seller, but handling beyond inspection can reduce the refund. Paid assembly or enhanced delivery may not be recoverable. Keep every insert and coordinate freight pickup.
Current models worth comparing
The alternatives that change the decision
3G Cardio Elite RB X
Its page still shows USD 1,999 and Add to cart, but the embedded product record says on backorder. Its 49-inch depth and Consumer Reports score keep it in the US challenge set, not as ordinary-stock proof. The reprint publishes no physical sample count, rider details, access protocol, strap task or console-reach protocol, so its score remains a bounded shortlist signal.
SOLE R92
The current German article showed EUR 1,499, six units available, 10 reviews, an enabled order button and a July 24–28 delivery estimate. It directly challenges BC70 at the same price and RB9.9 at EUR 300 less, but the checked sources do not document BC70’s three adjustment axes and side controls or RB9.9’s 180 kg capacity. The separate US offer remains USD 1,299.99 with different return terms.
cardiostrong BC60
The current EUR 899 exact page and 42 reviews make it a strong same-brand challenge. The checked source set did not document the same three-axis and side-control case as BC70 or a clearer room decision than BC50.
Life Fitness RS1 Go
Current USD 2,409 and EUR 1,749 exact offers challenge RS3 Go on price. RS3 keeps the lane only for its separately documented seat/back and US delivery configuration; the exact user should compare both.
